What started off as small talk about what beer’s looked good, in a WINCO grocery store, turned into a 20+ minute conversation, which turned into deciding they needed to hangout again, which turned into three year’s later saying “I-do” at The Flats 16 Restaurant & Event Venue.    

The feeling of the day…

The feeling of the entire day was so chill! From the gorgeous bridal suite located onsite at The Flats 16 where Greta, her bridesmaids and flower girl Lilly, were getting ready, the first look under the beautiful vine wrapped walkway, to the outdoor willow tree where the guys chilled and waited patiently for the party to begin.

From the brides flower crown, the dark green bridesmaids dresses by Mod cloth, custom made groom, groomsmen, and FOTB socks, custom made “Mint-to-be” favors, to the golden terrarium wedding décor centerpieces, every detail was beautifully planned.

A special moment that stood out…

I think one of the most special moments of the day that stands out in my memory was their first look. That moment a groom gets to see his bride for the first time – no one around, no show, just the two of them and their photographer to capture the moment (MY FAVE!!!). What stood out especially about this one was how Cody turns around and says “daaaaannnnngg girrrllll…. Let me see” and then twirls her around!!!  It seriously was the cutest thing ever!

Greta + Cody – Words can’t express how grateful I am that I found such an awesome couple to spend the day with and the honor I feel to have been able to document your special day! If ever I land up in DC again, I’ll be sure to haula so we can kick it again!
