Work hard play hard.

That’s the essence of this beautiful San Diego min vacay! For those that don’t know, in addition to my Wedding Photography business I help solve people problems in the HR Realm with a healthcare company who owns and supports 31 different Home Health and Hospice agencies all across the US (so yes, I travel a lot!). Last year the leadership team met our goals and so each leader got an all-expenses paid trip to San Diego with their, plus 1!

We stayed at The Pacific Terrace Hotel, directly on the San Diego beach (a very nice, clean, beach)!

From there we ventured out and rented motored scooters to get around, seriously the fun-est thing we did for under $20! We soaked in the hot tub, strolled along the pier, checked out cars we could never afford in La Jolla, had lunch with Aunt Sue, and basked in the beautiful CA sun! Oh, and Isaac tried surfing (again) but with no success – he blames the board, haaaha – he looked good doing it I must say (see pic below)!

One of the highlights of our trip was eating true authentic Mexican food… like legit – nobody does Mexican food in the U.S. like San Diego!! If you ever visit, you must give La Perla a try, a casual counter service taco shop, but I caution… you just may get addicted.  We also ate at the yummy Eddie V’s in La Jolla and The Fishery in San Diego – both really good options.

All in all, it was another great #rickettsadventure!
