A Fall Downtown Urban Boise Engagement Session

What a joy it is to share the love story of one of my sweetest couples to date, Hillary and Paul! It’s hard to say who won my heart first—was it Paul with his love for Gladiator, or Hillary with her playful spirit and her adorable cat, Woody? Honestly, it’s a tie! Their chemistry and unique personalities shine through in every interaction, making them such a great couple to work with.

As a wedding photographer with 8 years of experience, I’ve had the honor of capturing many love stories, but Paul and Hillary’s stands out in so many ways. One of my favorite moments from their journey together was when Paul surprised Hillary during one of her business trips to Seattle. He flew in, booked a hotel downtown, and planned two incredible dates that made her heart skip a beat. It’s those thoughtful gestures that truly reflect the love they share.

And then there’s the unforgettable proposal! Picture this: Paul, with the stunning backdrop of Sedona, asked Hillary to be his forever partner while they were hiking 100 feet up a rock ledge. Can you imagine the thrill and the breathtaking views? Of course, she said YES! Moments like these make my job so fulfilling, and I feel incredibly lucky to capture such heartfelt milestones.

I’m beyond excited to document their wedding celebration tomorrow at The Flats 16. This venue is truly special and perfectly suits the love and joy that Hillary and Paul radiate.
