As a photographer, fall senior sessions are some of my absolute favorites — and Ariana’s session at Kathryn Albertson Park reminded me exactly why. Peak fall color, golden leaves everywhere, a soft breeze… truly one of those evenings where everything just lined up perfectly.
Ariana is graduating from Owyhee High School, Class of 2026, and she wanted a session that felt dreamy, colorful, and completely her. Between her bright, feminine style, her ballet background, and her “silly, happy, caring” personality, she was such a natural in front of my camera.
If you’ve ever been to Kathryn Albertson Park in October, you know the trees go absolutely wild with color — pops of orange, yellow, deep reds, and so much texture everywhere you turn.
It matched Ariana perfectly since her favorite colors are orange and pink, and you could see her face light up every time we found a spot with those tones behind her.
She wanted her photos to feel “dreamy,” so we played with movement, soft light, and little pops of fall color that made each shot feel bright and full of personality.
One of my favorite things about senior sessions is weaving in details that make the photos personal.
Ariana has been doing ballet for years, so she brought her ballet shoes, and we saved those portraits for the softest light of the evening. Watching her slip effortlessly into her dancer posture — even in the middle of the park — was such a beautiful contrast against the fall leaves.
Halfway through the session, Ariana’s dad brought something incredibly special… his father’s vintage camera. Watching him step behind the lens and take a few photos of his daughter, using the camera passed down from his dad, was such a sweet moment — quiet, sentimental, and one of those memories that hits a little deeper.
I love when sessions naturally create moments like that.
If you’re narrowing down locations, here’s why this spot works SO well for fall seniors:
It’s a spot I recommend year after year because it consistently delivers gorgeous results.
Ariana — thank you for trusting me with your senior photos. You showed up with such a fun, lighthearted energy, and the way you embraced the fall colors and leaned into your “dreamy” vision made the whole evening a joy. I hope these photos always remind you of who you were during this season — confident, creative, and ready for what’s next.
If you’re a Class of 2026 senior dreaming of bold colors, natural posing, and photos that feel like you, I’d love to work with you! Reach out and let’s plan something gorgeous.
