Talk about starting the year off right! This New Year’s Eve, I got to catch up with some amazing faces – the incredible Walker family! I can’t believe it’s been over 10 years since I first met Danny and his family! Time flies when you’re having fun!

Now, let’s talk about the weather! Here in Eagle, Idaho, the middle of winter can be a bit of a gamble. But wouldn’t you know it, the day of our shoot dawned bright, crisp, and absolutely gorgeous. Sunshine like that is a photographer’s dream, especially when paired with a family as photogenic as the Walkers!

Seeing their little family grow has been such a joy. And newest member Ivy Mae stole the show with her infectious smile!] Plus, I have to give them major props for following my family portrait guide to photography colors – their outfit color tones looked absolutely incredible on them! It really elevates the whole look, wouldn’t you agree?

We spent the session capturing some classic family portraits, but also had a blast just playing around and soaking up the beautiful winter light. There were some adorable sibling snuggles, some hilarious moments (because let’s be real, winter clothes can be pretty cumbersome for little ones!), and of course, tons of genuine smiles and laughter. 

That’s what it’s all about, folks!

This session was a perfect reminder of why I love what I do. Capturing the love and connection between families is truly special, and the Walkers are a shining example of that.
