A Gorgeous Winter Bogus Basin Engagement Session

Some sessions feel like reconnecting with old friends. That’s exactly how it was with Alyssa and Travis during their Bogus Basin engagement session! When Alyssa reached out to me, I was so happy she remembered me. I had photographed her friends, Mariah and JD’s wedding at Willow Grove back in 2018. It’s always an honor when past connections lead to new ones.

Alyssa and Travis are such a fun and laid-back couple. Not only did they go with the flow, but they also trusted me completely with the locations I picked out. Their love for each other was so easy to capture, which makes my job so much fun! For their engagement session, Alyssa selected Bogus Basin, where the views are absolutely magical. Since the crisp mountain air and sprawling pine trees create an unforgettable backdrop, it’s always one of my favorite spots for engagement photos. Add in those breathtaking views, and it was the perfect setting. This Bogus Basin engagement session had everything I love about shooting in the mountains. Plus, Alyssa followed my engagement session preparation guide perfectly! Not only did the colors they selected match the scenery so well, but she even brought a cozy matching blanket for them to sit on. #TRPbride nailed it!

Alyssa and Travis were naturals in front of the camera. We didn’t have a lot of time, mostly because it was the end of the day and freezing outside, so we had to move quickly. If anything, it helped because we didn’t have time to overthink—lol

I can’t wait for their September 2025 wedding at Still Water Hollow! It’s going to be the perfect place for them to say “I do.”
