Hey Friends,

I’ve officially labeled 2016, “The Year of Change”: a new home, a new member of the family, new life experiences, entering a new decade of marriage, taking the leap to pursue my passion, and forming a new business – it’s no wonder it flew by so quickly! As I reflected upon this past year, it’s highs and lows, and everything in between, I realized this: For all the time I spent worrying about the “what-if’s”, I still have a roof over my head, a guy I love more than ever, and a sky that is still intact! What I did is not allow fear (fear of change, fear of failure, fear of flying) to hold me back. I hope this inspire others to embrace change, start taking baby steps towards your life’s dream, and not be afraid to try something new, because you just never know will it will take you.

So without further ado, and in no particular order, a glimpse into my 2016:

1. We traveled half way around the world to a tiny island off of South Africa in the Indian ocean, the beautiful Mauritius.
2. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary!
3. We purchased a New Home.
4. We attended a Carrie Underwood Concert
5. I finally got Isaac to take a trip back to San Jose with me (We hadn’t been back together in four years).
6. Saw Capital Kings, Hollyn, and Toby Mac in concert.
7. Walked the U.S. House and Senate underground tunnel in Washington DC – and seen Train in concert.
8. Purchased my first DSLR Camera.
9. Found a natural cure to my adult acne.
10. We adopted our newest member of the Fam Bam – Mr. Zeek
11. Said “goodbye” to my dear Uncle Ronnie – may he rest in peace.
12. Thanksgiving in Northern Idaho.
13. My first wedding engagement photo shoot.
14. My first studio shoot.
15. Began my social media journey.
16. Formed Tina Ricketts Photography, LLC.
