You know those weddings where everything just feels like it’s falling into place perfectly? The ones where the timeline stays on track, the bridal party and family are a dream to work with, and the weather seems like it was ordered up special for the occasion? That was Alex and Trevor’s beautiful Still Water Hollow wedding in November.
I mean, let’s start with the weather. November can be a bit of a gamble in Idaho, but on their wedding day, it was perfect. Crisp but not too cold, with the kind of light that makes photographers swoon. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to get married, weather-wise at the Still Water Hollow.
But Alex and Trevor’s love story had already made me a fan months before the wedding, during their engagement session. We met up on a rooftop in downtown Boise for their shoot, and wow—talk about naturals! They may have said they were nervous, but you absolutely couldn’t tell. Whether it was their genuine laughs, the way Trevor looked at Alex, or the effortless way they moved together, it was magic from start to finish.
And their wedding day? Let me tell you, it was an experience. Alex chose a sunflower theme for the day, and she absolutely nailed it. From her gorgeous DIY wood flower bouquet and floral arrangements to the rich autumnal color palette of burnt orange, deep red, quartz, and emerald green, every detail reflected her artistic touch. She even custom-designed her wedding invitations on Canva! (Seriously, is there anything this bride can’t do?)
The ceremony was just as heartfelt and personal as the details. A friend played the violin, which added a touch of elegance and intimacy to the entire event. Alex and Trevor also decided to do a private first look—a moment just for the two of them. Not only did it give them a chance to soak in the significance of the day together, but they also exchanged private vows during that time. As a photographer, I’ll never stop advocating for first looks—there’s just something so magical about that quiet, uninterrupted moment with your person before the whirlwind of the ceremony begins.
The reception was as lively and fun as you’d expect from Alex and Trevor’s easygoing personalities. Their bridal party and family were so amazing—kind, welcoming, and clearly overjoyed for the happy couple. The evening capped off with the perfect sparkler exit, which, of course, was picture-perfect because everything about this wedding seemed charmed.
Alex and Trevor, your Still Water Hollow wedding was one for the books! Thank you for trusting me to capture all the love, laughter, and beauty of your day. My hope is that when you look back at these photos 10, 20, 30 years from now, you’ll be transported right back to this amazing day where it all came together so perfectly.
Wishing you both a lifetime of joy, laughter, and a love that grows deeper with every season. Cheers to your forever and enjoy these TRP favorites!!! It was an HONOR to have you as our final TRP Couple for 2024!
